Transformation Church (TC) started in 2010 with a clear vision birthed out of the very heart of Jesus: to be a multiethnic, multigenerational, mission-shaped community that loves God completely (Upward), ourselves correctly (Inward), and our neighbors compassionately (Outward). From the beginning, we prayed that God would use us to take this vision throughout the world, and we are grateful that it didn’t take long for the ripple of what God was doing in Indian Land, South Carolina to spread globally.

Taking the Vision to Spain

Joel and Ami Maceiras joined TC at the beginning of Transformation Church’s launch and quickly became staff members. As Joel and Ami were growing in their faith and the power of TC’s vision, they felt led to take this vision to Spain, Joel’s home country, where they knew it was very spiritually dark and struggled with racism.

As a result, Transformation Church launched ICONO in Madrid, Spain in 2013 with Joel and Ami as its leaders. Since then, we have had the privilege of supporting and partnering with ICONO in many ways, and we continue to celebrate all that God is doing through the body of Christ in Madrid.

ICONO recently moved into a new building to worship with its congregation and community, and they already celebrated four baptisms in their new space. One baptism a year is worth celebrating in Spain, so we are rejoicing with them and the four children of God who decided to publicly declare their faith in Jesus!

Expanding Our Global Impact

Our partnership with ICONO is just one of the many ways God is using TC to make a global impact in the kingdom of God. Starting this year, Transformation Church has committed to giving $25,000 for three years to planting churches and impacting communities in a country that we cannot name for security reasons.

We are committed to loving our neighbors compassionately, and we’re so thankful for all who give to Transformation Church to help make this happen. We can’t wait to see what God continues to do through our global church partners in the years to come.
