Since the early days of Transformation Church, we’ve been passionate about feeding people in our community. For many years we provided backpack meals to hundreds of kids in our local schools so they would have access to quality meals over the weekends.

When Covid hit in March 2020, schools closed down and we could no longer get backpack meals to the kids. That’s when some public schools approached us and asked if we could start a food pantry for these kids and their families. From those conversations, The Market was born.

The Market has gone through several iterations over the years, from working out of a trailer in a school parking lot, to now being a fully-functioning free grocery store. In that time, we’ve been able to give out several hundred thousand pounds of food to hundreds of families.

Beyond just providing food, our goals are to always affirm the God-given dignity that every person has, and to show them the same generosity that God has shown to us. Every bag of food is an opportunity to help someone see themselves the way God sees them.
